BAS Due Dates- Extra time to lodge & pay!

Did you know that by using the services of a Registered Tax Agent, you can benefit with an extra 4 weeks extension for lodgement and payment of your Business Activity Statement? Below is a brief description of the different BAS options available and the benefit of utilising a professional tax agent.

 

Quarterly reporting

 

Quarterly BAS periods are as follows:

 

Quarter 1             1 July - 30 September

Quarter 2             1 October – 31 December

Quarter 3             1 January - 31 March

Quarter 4             1 April – 30 June

 

 

The due date for each quarter is 28 days following the end of the quarter, with an exemption of an extra 4 weeks during summer holidays.

Monthly reporting

 

The due date for your monthly BAS is usually on the 21st day of the following month. If the due date is on a weekend or public holiday, you can lodge your form and make any payment due on the next business day.

 

We always encourage our clients to keep up to date with their records so the BAS can be processed in a timely manner. However you do have the option to extend your lodgement by 4 weeks, utilising the services we offer.
